Anne-Cécile Chane-Tune, concept, choreography, interpretation
Born in l’Île de la Réunion in 1981, Anne-Cécile Chane-Tune discovered a passionated love for dance when she was 14 years old. She decided to move to Europe in order to improve her knowledge in the artistic and the choreographic domain.
Dancer, performer, choreographer, researcher and pedagogue, she has been trained in classic and contemporary dance at the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse” from Lyon and proceeded her training through studies at the “formation Passerelles” in Genval – Belgium. She starts her career at the age of 20, stays in Brussels and crosses the countries from the world with several performances and productions from Belgium and France.
Her daily encounters around creations and pedagogy brings her to a detailed research of the movement. She joins the “Collectif en Transit” as a performer but also as a choreographer, focussing her work around the dance in the urban space and the commun creative process. They also give her the opportunity to produce the piece “Ce que vous verrez” for the KVS . She joins and participate to the development of the international network Axis Syllabus, that focusses on the enrichment of the scientific knowledge and puts it in relation with the movement of the body and the question of the transmission. It’s in this context that she creates her first solo’s: “Capular” (Earth Dance, Massachusetts) and “At the exit of the cave” (Outokumpu, Finlande).
On the roads since 15 years, between creations, tours and pedagogy, she’s in constant research of artistic and intellectual content in order to broaden and sharpen her perceptions, her vision and knowledge of art and dance. She’s sensitive to the body in his plasticity, humanity and as a witness of the modern world, in front of the discoveries and the unknown.

She meets Lisa and crosses the world with the Company “Arcosm”, invests in her researches via the Axis Syllabus staying with “le collectif En Transit” as a performer and choreographer.
She’s Frey Faust’s assistant as a pedagogue and artist choreographer. During her career she meets the plastic artist Miet Warlop, performs the projects “Leaves of Grass” from Bud Blumenthal, “Meta” and “Sirènes” from Elodie Paternostre (vidéo- danse), joins the Company “Arcosm” from Thomas Guerry and Camille Rocailleux for the new creation “Subliminal”.
Thanks to Félicette Chazerand, she goes on with the performances “Corps Confiants” and “rOnde” at the “Biennale de Charleroi” and “Noël au Théâtre”. She joins the work HIVE for Pietro Marullo, associated artist at Halles de Schaerbeek.
She creates “Racines” at the “Théâtre Marni” (D-Festival), with the support of the FWB (Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles – Service de la Danse), that will be touring in Belgium and at l’Île de la Réunion. She’s invited as a choreographer in order to guide the comedians of the theatrical project “La Ronde Flamboyante” produced by the Company MAPS at the “Théâtre de Liège”. She’s also assistant-choreographer for Félicette Chazerand for the performance “Petite ronde”.
With “ALONE/ALL ONE”, she starts her second personal research, born during the lock down through “Il Respiro del Arte” (Gènes), and tries to emerge with her own choreographic aesthetic.
